Sea of Sands
Vast desert region of the southern continent. Known for large amounts of sand which blow around, much of this region was underwater several eons ago and then later experienced intermittent times of increased rainfall followed by other millenia of dry weather.
The result is an endless wash of blowing dunes for thousands of square miles that surround the Akmon valley.
The desert itself holds many secrets hidden by the sheer size of the unrelenting wasteland.
